At Word of Faith Christian University, we stand with you in faith for God’s help in making the right decision concerning your spiritual education. We know full well that the course of your life and ministry—and your ultimate success—depends greatly on the quality of your decisions. We would consider it an honor if God chooses to use us in helping you prepare for your future, pouring into your life knowledge and spiritual endowments that will enable you to fulfill God’s call.

This Catalog and Student Handbook presents a simple yet comprehensive overview of our purpose and the programs we offer. The University’s undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs focus primarily on equipping students for ministry within the local church. Our anointed gifted ministers and teachers, bring a wealth of experience to each program and class.

The School of Theology and Biblical Studies is the foundation of all our programs. The teaching and preaching of God’s Word is central to all ministries of the Church and therefore remains our major focus. Christian Counseling is also an essential part of ministry in today’s world, where the Body of Christ is greatly affected by the challenges of society. The School of Christian and Pastoral Counseling prepares students for this vital ministry.

Emphasis is placed on skill development and learning to minister under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Being “in the world but not of the world” presents the Church with the challenge of maintaining excellence in business affairs. That is the focus of our School of Church Administration. The Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ is the focus of the School of Evangelism and Missions, reminding us that the ultimate purpose of the Church is to continuously win souls. We cannot afford to lose sight of this “first love.”

The School of Pastoral Ministry offers a rich, well-rounded program that encompasses elements from each school, preparing pastors to lead the church in all areas of ministry.

Evening and Saturday classes are available, along with live broadcasts of plenary sessions to all students in satellite campuses. Gifted ministers from each local community also serve as instructors, teaching and training students who receive the same credits and Christian degrees offered at the main campus.

Your reward from God will be based on your obedience to His call—whether in full-time ministry or as a lay worker in the church. We commit ourselves to assist you in every way possible in preparing for that call. Each 3–4 hour course package includes comprehensive instruction, workbook manuals, and supporting materials.

We accept, as a mandate from God, the words given by the Apostle Paul to his son in the faith, Timothy: “The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
